April 29, 2007 Jason Miller Dante Aponte of Lorain hugs his niece Samantha Brown on Sunday, April 29, 2007. Aponte, a Sgt. with the 18th Airborn betalion, renurned from Iraq to Indiana on April 23 and then returned home to his family on the 2200 block of East 33rd Street in Lorain on Sunday, April 29, 2007. Aponte said being home still feels a bit sureal but the best thing about being home is seeing his family and knowing he doesn't have to go back. Aponte has finished eight years with the military. Aponte was greeted by his family and neighbors with party BBQ and many heart felt greetings.
